Mark Bodley is a Sous Chef in Enfield, Connecticut who has served on the front lines since March 2020.
His wife tragically died in October 2019 at the age of 37 and to lift his children’s spirits he decided to purchase a home. Even through this grievous loss and the termination of his job, he was able to finally close on his home in January. However, because of the pandemic, he was not able to take possession of his home until May 2020.
Mark loves his new home and his three children love it, too! All he ever wanted was to have a home “just like the Norman Rockwell paintings,” so he is happy to be living out his dream.
Even though 2020 came with its set of challenges, the loss of his wife, the termination of his job and his youngest son being diagnosed with Autism, he was able to find a silver lining by purchasing a home in order to begin rebuilding his and his children’s life.
Mark’s biggest hope for 2021 is renovating a historic building he has had his eye on and turning it into a restaurant of his very own!
